Total flexibility for VRU testing
The LaunchPad range of powered platforms has been designed to carry Vulnerable Road User (VRU) targets for ADAS and autonomous vehicle (AV) development and testing, including pedestrian, cyclist, moped and motorcycle dummies. The range is robust and provides accurate and repeatable testing. Unlike belt-driven platforms, the LaunchPad can follow complex paths which are not restricted to straight lines.
There is a LaunchPad designed to meet your specific testing requirements, ranging from low-speed pedestrian testing through to highway speed motorcycle testing. The LaunchPad range includes:

LaunchPad Spin
The latest addition to the LaunchPad range, the LaunchPad Spin is a third generation platform that brings new levels of manoeuvrability to VRU testing. Developed to replicate challenging urban scenarios, its turn‑on‑the‑spot, single-wheel steering gives it the ability to rotate 360 degrees in an instant, so your testing can closely replicate the rapid changes in direction that are common to real-world pedestrian behaviour. Plus, its top speed of 30 km/h also makes it capable of testing scenarios involving cyclists and e-scooters.
LaunchPad 50 and 60
The LaunchPad 50 and LaunchPad 60 are higher-speed platforms designed to carry Vulnerable Road User (VRU) targets for ADAS development and testing. With precise speed control and full path-following capability, the LaunchPad can be used with pedestrian, cyclist, moped and motorcycle dummies with top speeds of 50 km/h and 60 km/h respectively.
LaunchPad 80
The LaunchPad 80 is our fastest VRU test platform, making realistic highway speed ADAS testing with motorcycle targets possible, even in the most challenging scenarios. With 80 km/h test speeds and 0.6 g braking, the LaunchPad 80 has the speed and rapid deceleration needed to perform realistic motorcycle test scenarios. It is the first solution that fully meets the speed requirements of the 2023 Euro NCAP AEB/LSS protocols.
